Oscar goes golfing in 12 degree weather

Monday, January 21st, 2008

Yes, that’s the way we roll up here in the frozen tundra. Golfing in the basement. (see, all that procrastinating on decorating the downstairs paid off! now we can hit the crap out of the ball downstairs and not worry)

All I have to say is - welcome to the fukodome… Cubs will do it this year (I’m purposely leaving ‘do it’ quite vague, this is not unintentional).

Sometimes I come across articles that make me chuckle and brighten up my day. This is one of them. An utter farce, from start to finish.

Cubs and Cardinals fans class up the whole sworn-enemy thing

They applaud a great play regardless of which team’s player makes it. No brawls in the stands or parking lots, no obscene gestures, just a friendly rivalry decided on the field.

What the??

What on earth is Ed talking about? Never in my life have I heard a Cub fan applaud a St Louis ‘great play’. Are you freaking insane Ed? Most Cub fans would strangle a St Louis fan if they thought no one was looking. Cardinal fans troll up to Wrigley every year to get drenched in beer, and always end up looking like deer on the highway.

Apparently Ed Hardiman has never set foot in Wrigley Field. St Louis fans are tread upon with ferocity at Wrigley field. The word Hate comes to mind. It’s ugly in Wrigley during a cubs/cards matchup. I will go as far as to say I dislike Cards fans even more than Sox fans. Ed, I’ll buy you a ticket this summer so you can actually do some research before your next article.
